We are an evangelical and missionary organization that God has raised up to prepare workers for his church in Latin America. The Seminario Biblico Rio Grande is fundamental in its doctrine and firmly believes in the verbal inspiration and final authority of the Word of God. It seeks to serve all churches and denominations that share the same doctrine and practice.
ÉNFASIS ESPIRITUAL
The student who comes to Seminario Bíblico Río Grande will find an institution where the development of his spiritual life is considered the highest priority. The classes will challenge you academically, but the focus is on obedience to God’s Word (the Bible) and not mere knowledge. Therefore the union of the believer with Christ and the impact of this on his life is emphasized. Leadership is focused as a “service” to the Lord and his church, which is achieved through good preparation in the study of the Bible and the constant direction of the Holy Spirit.
ÉNFASIS ACADÉMICO
Since the seminary is located near the border with Mexico, the task of providing excellent and unique training in your theological studies is facilitated. Likewise, the faculty brings a background of studies and experiences from different countries around the world. Therefore, global educational philosophies are combined with that experience, also providing the student with an opportunity to open themselves to new customs and ways of thinking. As a result, the student will be better prepared to minister within and outside of his or her field, putting Bible study into practice in the face of ministerial experience.
PERSONAL DISCIPLINE
The work program, together with studies and coexistence in a new culture, formed by the union of people from different places, requires a unique adaptation and discipline. The student must discipline himself in the use of his time. The intensity of the studies, the practical service on the weekends and the work program combine to demand discipline on the part of the student who wants to have a good testimony in everything he does.
Graduates of the school greatly appreciate the discipline they learned during their time at the seminary which serves them for the rest of their lives.The Rio Grande Bible Seminary believes that a worker for the Lord must maintain a blameless life and high standards of behavior that apply to everyone. Obedience and submission, even under difficult situations, are seen as crucial in preparation to serve God. The rules will not always be the same as those of their family and/or their church, therefore students must take this into account, be willing to obey and be subject to these rules. Our goal is a comprehensive preparation, seeking excellence in ministry, which is seen as “service” in the church for Christ our Lord.

I love Christ’s certainty in Matthew 16: “I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” We see the wonder of the fulfillment of this promise today in all geographic regions of the globe. And in our Hispanic world, people are responding to the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Christ like never before! We see Hispanic churches established in all parts of the world because Hispanics are now dispersing to almost every country on our planet.
The harsh reality in these Hispanic congregations is that a large number of them do not have trained leaders or pastors, which is exactly why God established the Seminario Biblico Rio Grande. Jesus called Rio Grande to the harvest to prepare Christ-centered leaders with a biblical worldview for the global church. Our classes, our environment and all of our teachers embrace this divine Commission.
God is choosing, selecting men and women, and calling them to fulfill the amazing task of making disciples, followers of Christ, in all parts of the world. He is also sending many of them to Seminario Biblico Rio Grande to receive their education, spiritual preparation, and ministerial training.
Our graduates are everywhere on our planet fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ. And one day in eternity we will stand before the King of kings, along with men and women from every tribe, every language, every people, every nation, worshiping the Lamb that was slain. And what a joy it will be to know that many of them were reached, discipled, and commissioned into the harvest by Seminario Biblico Rio Grande graduates.
