WED APRIL 1 Missionaries Mike and Lori Cassel (both MLS ’05) are thankful for the growth of their church in Guatemala, as several people recently came to Christ. They ask prayer for Lori’s health problems.

THU APRIL 2 Randy and Evelyn Kizzia are representatives of Rio Grande who live off campus. Pray for them as they meet with churches and individuals who may be interested in supporting this ministry.

FRI APRIL 3 Bob and Barb Kracht (both MLS ’75) will appreciate prayer as they serve here. Bob is the Managing Editor of our publications, and Barb serves in the Finance Department.

SAT APRIL 4 DeNise Love (MLS ’06), former missionary in Ecuador, now lives in Mississippi and continues serving with Reach Beyond. Pray for her many opportunities to serve the Lord and for good results of a knee replacement surgery in January.

SUN APRIL 5 On Easter Sunday, we remember Christ’s triumph over death as He rose from the grave. Let’s be faithful to share this wonderful truth with those who don’t know Him.

MON APRIL 6 Please pray for our students as they go back to class after the Easter break, when many participated in mission trips. Pray that those who heard the good news of salvation will put their trust in Jesus.

TUE APRIL 7 We ask you to pray today for Mark and Ruth Lans. Mark is the Director of the Modern Languages Department and Academic Advisor in the Bilingual Ministries area. Ask God to continue using them for His glory.

WED APRIL 8 Pray for Allen and Diane Frey (both MLS ’84), former missionaries in Guatemala, now in Indiana. They rejoiced recently when two ladies, whom they met in church, later accepted Christ, as Diane befriended them.

THU APRIL 9 Javier Lara is now serving our alumni and students as a counselor and mentor. His wife, Edina (Hernandez, SB ’77), keeps busy at home, with family members, and at church. Remember them in prayer today.

FRI APRIL 10 Rio Grande welcomed several new staff members in the past year. Please pray for these new workers as they continue to adjust to their ministries here, and that God will use them for His glory.

SAT APRIL 11 Larry and Ruth Windle (both MLS ’97) will appreciate prayers as Larry serves as Rio Grande’s president and teaches in the Bible College. Ruth is the liaison with the accrediting association and has a degree in library science.

SUN APRIL 12 Brenda Matthews (MLS ’85) served the Lord in Latin America ever since graduating from Language School. Pray for her now as she transitions to living back home in Canada.

MON APRIL 13 Staff member Gretchen Larsen (MLS ’87) teaches English to our Spanish-speaking students. Ask the Lord to continue to use her in this important ministry.

TUE APRIL 14 Radio Esperanza is Rio Grande’s Spanish radio network, with four stations. Thank the Lord for what He is doing in people’s lives through the Gospel as it reaches into homes and hearts.

WED APRIL 15 Pray for Gerardo (SB ’01) and Dalia (SB ’22) Lorenzo as they continue to serve at Radio Esperanza. Gerado is the General Manager and News Director, and Dalia works with automation and programming.

SUN APRIL 19 Please remember in prayer David and Anita (Rojas) Luzuriaga (both SB’98), missionaries in David’s homeland, Ecuador. Thank the Lord for their years of service, and ask Him to continue giving them fruit from their ministry.

TUE APRIL 21 Thank you for praying for those who are responsible for the development of the new satellite school in South Dakota. The plans are to open it in the fall, as the Lord leads.

WED APRIL 22 Staff members Nelson (SB 2014) and Pakis (Gonzalez, SB ’14) Matus will appreciate prayer as they await permission to return from Mexico to the US. Meanwhile, Nelson is studying for a doctoral degree.

THU APRIL 23 We ask your prayers for the students’ plans for the summer. Some will be going abroad to serve the Lord. Others will return home or minister in the US. May God guide each one.

FRI APRIL 24 Bring Maribel Mendonça (SB ’16) to the Lord today. She serves on our staff as the Director of Admissions. Ask God to give her wisdom and guidance as she interacts with the applicants for the fall term.

SAT APRIL 25 Jack and Sharon Mitchell will appreciate your prayers as they work closely with the Bible College students. Jack is on the faculty, and Sharon is a counselor for the women students.

SUN APRIL 26 Thank the Lord today for Tony and Helen Lim. Helen has served for many years in our campus mailroom. Ask the Lord to continue to use her in her interaction with the students.

MON APRIL 27 Our staff will appreciate prayer as they make plans for the summer. Ask God to lead them where they can be a blessing: whether with their families, in churches, or on mission trips.

TUE APRIL 28 Pray today for the members of our Board of Directors. May the Lord give them wisdom as they meet several times a year to discuss various matters that affect the staff and students.

WED APRIL 29 Thank the Lord for the Winter Volunteers who served here this winter season. Without their help, our staff would not have been able to undertake many of the projects that were accomplished.
