Missions Experience

Missions is a key part of the experience at Rio Grande. From our short-term evangelism trips each semester to our yearly missions conference, each student encounters God’s global plan for the Great Commission.

Missions classes and the missions club provide opportunities to grow your global perspective and participate in praying for and supporting missions efforts.

Every student has the option to apply for and participate in our summer missions trips. Each year, our students travel across the globe to participate in cross-cultural missions.

Summer Internship (Bachelor’s)

Each student in our 4-year Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies program is required to complete an 8-week summer internship. This intership provides a full-time, real-world experience for students to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom.

THE WORK PROGRAM

Our on-campus students may participate in our work program. The work program provides real-world experience and helps pay for costs. Our work program options include: Christian broadcasting, multimedia, graphic design, photography, IT, tutoring, maintenance, landscaping, and a variety of other essential services that keep our campus running smoothly.

Koinonia Coffee: Our student center and coffee shop where students can study, socialize, and grow together in community. This is one of our students’ and community’s favorite places on campus.

Intercultural activities: During the semester, activities are promoted in which students can interact to learn about the different cultures and countries represented by our staff and students. These events include “Dia de la Raza” and our “Festival of Nations.”
