Prayer and fasting takes my eyes off of my selfish ambitions and foolish pride. It forces the eyes of this spiritual man to look toward the face of his Redeemer. It is in the promises of Jesus revealed in His Word where hope is found. The power of prayer and fasting is found in its ability to provide focus on Christ as we earnestly petition for His favor, blessing, and revival.
